With Nadine Ritzer, Séverine Chuffart Balmer and Christof Hofer three new team members continue the dissemination of Living Democracy.
We are excited to welcome three new team members to the Living Democracy Team: Nadine Ritzer, Séverine Chuffart Balmer, and Christof Hofer all joined our team during the past year and bring a wealth of expertise that will help us expand the reach and impact of our website and teaching materials.
Nadine Ritzer joins us as a historian and expert in history didactics and civic education. With a strong background in history and German language and literature, she has a deep understanding of how historical knowledge is taught and how it shapes civic engagement. As lecturer and professor at the University of Teacher Education in Bern, Nadine has developed innovative teaching materials and led research projects aimed at improving history education. Her experience in the Swiss-German Society of History Didactics and her work with educational publications will be invaluable as she helps create and distribute high-quality, accessible educational content for Living Democracy.
Séverine Chuffart Balmer brings a background in economics and development cooperation to our team. With a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Zurich and extensive experience in international project management, Séverine has a strong track record of leading projects in education and development. She recently completed the CAS in Development and Cooperation from ETH Zurich, which strengthened her understanding of global educational governance further. Séverine will help us manage existing and new democracy education projects, ensuring that our content is accessible to a broader audience and relevant in diverse educational contexts around the world.
Christof Hofer, with his background in media production, will play a central role in promoting our website and keeping it up to date. His experience in project management, communications, and content creation will be an asset for the promotion and dissemination of our learning materials and ensure further engagement with our key audiences of teachers, principals and parents.
Together, Nadine, Séverine, and Christof will contribute to expanding our content, enhancing our global reach, and utilizing innovative communication strategies to engage educators and learners around the world. Stay tuned for upcoming projects and content from the team, as we continue to build a more informed, engaged, and democratic global community.
